How Pree Labs Ltd. & Citizens Response Ja Is Helping Jamaica Win The Fight Against Covid
Digital Jamaican Of The Week | July 1, 2020
Admittedly Digital Jamaica is an unapologetically biased platform. We have a special affinity for young prodigious tech/digital Jamaicans who have used their talents whether self taught or professionally trained to create innovative and relevant localized solutions to localized problems.
It is in acknowledgement and appeication of people like Yekini why we developed the People to Watch Series and we are proud to say Yekini was one of four 2020 Tech Awardees.
Pree Labs & Citizens Response Ja
We are again featuring Yekini because of the Herculean Covid response effort himelf, the Pree Labs Team and the members of Citizens Response Ja a non-profit organization he cofounded with another local digital innovator Larren Peart of Blue Dot Data Intelligence Ltd.
This collective group have been a major assist to Governmental efforts, pooling their skills, resources, fund raising and offering other kinds of support.

According to Yekini so far they have acquired 3D printers used to print face shields and other medical equipment. Within a few short months they have distributed thousands of these afce shields as well as masks and other medical equipment to the medical community.
Pree Labs have also been busy developing automated hand washing and sanitization stations that they have also distributed where needed.
Digital Jamaica proudly supports Yekini, the Pree Labs Teram and the awesome folks over at Citizens Response Jamaica for the amazing work they do and hope that this entity will continue beyond this pandemic.
