What Former Nominees Say
As a young hospitality professional who doubles as an amateur cinematographer, it was humbling to have Kadia believe in my talents.
There are not many people out there highlighting the talents of young creatives and Kadia provided a platform for us.
Through the experience I met many other creatives and peers in the ‘blogosphere’ and I anticipate the new crop of nominees.
Big up to Kadia!
To be nominated was a gratifying and awesome experience. It was an opportunity for exposure and to showcase my talents, especially given the competitiveness of this industry.
The recognition allowed me to pivot my businesses which has since grown and developed. It has really opened doors for me and others like myself to gain that recognition.
Being nominated as a 2019 Digital Jamaica Blogger to Watch inspired me to keep going. The recognition was the 1st I’ve had and actually came at a time when I wasn’t feeling very enthusiastic about where the brand was.
The shared sentiments and feedback helped reassure me that what I was doing had purpose. The platform allowed me to learn about and meet other talented Jamaicans doing exceptional work in various fields, some of whom I’ve since collaborated with and/or supported.
I love that it amplifies the stories of those doing great work who may not necessarily be in the forefront.
