As a digital and social media marketing instructor, I emphasize the importance of consistency to my students all the time. Whenever someone asks me for the “secret sauce” or “hack” to achieving growth and longevity on social media, my immediate answer is consistency.
However, maintaining the level of consistency required to effectively market your business in the digital age can be incredibly challenging without the help and support of a competent team. This is a luxury that many small business owners and brand managers don’t have.
As the do-everything person with limited time and meagre resources I cannot afford to hire a manager, let alone a marketer. While I am capable of managing certain aspects, the marketing side has suffered. I simply do not have enough time (or, to be honest, enough energy) to dedicate to ideating, creating, and publishing content.
I simply do not have enough time (or energy if I’m keeping it all the way real) to dedicate to ideating, creating and publishing content at the consistent rate necessary to effectively market and grow my platform.
Is AI the Answer?
Over the past couple of months, I have been discussing Artificial Intelligence (AI) extensively, but I have only recently started to seriously explore how I can integrate AI tools into my brand management and marketing processes. The objective is to develop AI-powered processes that automate operations and optimize marketing efforts, without duplicating tasks.
As a result, I have been road-testing various tools to determine their effectiveness and identify where they can be integrated into my workflow. In the video below, I introduce you to some of the more user-friendly tools I have tested thus far, demonstrating how I have started utilizing them to enhance consistency and effectiveness as a one-man brand.
Tools Mentioned in the video
These are the tools that have worked the best for me so far. They are easy to use and for the most part free and affordable.
For Business Automation

Zapier is a tool that can be integrated with other applications like Airtable in this instance to automate repetitive tasks and improve workflows.
For Content Ideation & Production
ChatGPT is a generative ai tool developed by OpenAI and released in November 2022 that uses natural language processing to create humanlike conversational dialogue by way of prompts. In other words, instead of one search query at a time as you would on Google, you can create a conversational threads that allows you to fully flesh out your instructions and allows the tool to fully contextualize and respond appropriately.
Vidyo.ai turns your long form videos into short clips for YT Shorts, Reels or TikTok. complete with captions, subtitles, templates, emojis and more.
For Business Marketing

Durable.co is the world’s fastest website builder and all-in-one customer relationship management (CRM) tool help you start and grow your business.
So that’s it for now. I will continue to research and test, bringing you the best AI tools I can find to improve the management and marketing of our one-person operations.
